    How is rubber mulch coverage calculated?

    Coverage is area multiplied by the chosen layer depth. Package count divides that volume by the labeled bag volume and rounds up. For an example 100 sq ft area at 3 inches, the geometric volume is 25 cubic feet before any allowance.

    Does this estimate certify a playground surface?

    No. For a play area, select the product and installed depth using its tested fall-height and installation information. A volume calculator cannot determine impact protection, accessibility or whether the installed surface meets the required specification.
